Over a period of many months, scores of sausages, and much mash, was sampled in the quest to find the quality that Forked wanted to deliver. Forked even went behind the scenes to make sausages so we are 100% familiar with our products, where they come from and how they are made.
After many years as finalists, Walter Rose & Son, finally made the top step, and were voted Best Butchers Shop of the Year 2016. But there's nothing new there, they have been collecting medals all along the way since they started in 1847. Whilst they are a dynamic and thoroughly modern butcher, they never forget the cornerstones that the business was founded on – master butchery skills, authenticity, hand-made products, great personal service and attention to detail.
